Review: Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfecter for Combination to Oily Skin

Recently there has been a fad revolving around BB creams, the supposed miracle makeup. Many claim to be a moisturizer, foundation, primer, and sunscreen. They have been available in Asia for a while now and were only released in the western market a few years ago.

Today I will be reviewing the Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfecter for Combination to Oily Skin. I bought medium/dark (the only other colour being light/medium).

Claims:
  • Controls Shine
  • Minimizes Pores
  • Renews
  • Brightens
  • Hydrates
  • Evens
I found that It did indeed control shine, minimize pores, even, and hydrate. As far as renewing and brightening i'm not quite sure, but my skin hasn't changed. The coverage was more than I expected which was nice, especially since the product does not feel very heavy. It does still show dark spots as it is not full coverage, but for someone who does not want to wear much makeup and has minimal blemishes it is fine.
Throughout the day it does fade a touch, and my skin gets a bit more oily, but this is to be expected as I do have oily skin. The fading and oiliness is minimal especially if you set it with a powder. For the most part the only things that will start to show more are dark spots and blemishes.

My wrist with the product
My one big problem with this product is the lack of colour choices. The one I bought is a little too dark for my skin, luckily it is the colour I tan in the summer which was when I intended to wear this product.  Even though you are not supposed to do this I would taking the bottle out of the box and test it. If I were you I would test it on your face not your wrist because if you're like me your wrist is significantly lighter than your face.

Conclusion: I would repurchase this, but only for the summer unless they release more colours (with yellow undertones.)
